Hi all, I have now fitted the prop-shafts and again these have been fixed with P38 filler and I have gone over the filler on the Kort fixing points and the shafts with a good lashing of Resin so there will be no chance of any water getting in at these points. I will take some photo's later as I had to get of the shed before I got to high.  :-))

Regards Dave.

Ok like I said the shafts are in and props on just to make sure all is well, I am now waiting on the couplings to arrive and I can then fit the motors in place. I also have the servo box to make and fit this at the same time....it's coming along.

Ok today I cut out the 8 windows on the lower accommodation block, as you can see I drilled some holes to start with and then moved onto the file.... a slow job but not one that cannot be rushed. I then made a start on the main deck supports while I wait for the bits I ordered to arrive...hopefully tomorrow I can the get the motors in and then carry on with the rest of the deck supports. Coming along slowly.

Hi all, I have been looking at the other builds of this kit and noticed that there has been no wash ports cut out, is this just down to the builder or is there another reason.

Hi all, I have now got the motors fitted in place along with the servo. I have gone for 2mm brass rod for all the servo to kort and then from kort to kort, I know some will think this is a bit on the heavy side but what I have decided to do is beef up everything at the stern as I am going to take a chance on a sealed one piece deck.....no hatches on the stern....The reason being to keep all water from entering the hull as it can be a bit choppy here at New Brighton so when it's towing from the Bow there is a high risk of water splashing over the stern. Also I have now fitted most of the deck supports so tomorrow I intend getting them finished and move on to fitting the electrics ready for the test tank...ok the bath...Will take some photo's of the progress tomorrow. :-)) :-)) :-))

Regards Dave.

I think wash ports are a no-brainer if you have a choppy lake.
Water swilling around the deck with nowhere to go but inside
if there are no ports to send it overboard.

     Dave,
Cut out the wash ports please! after waiting since December last year the last few days of sunshine and warmth has allowed me to take out and lower down the roof lights in my shed (they were fitted with a 2 inch upstand but unfortunately this caused a water holding valley) to cure the minor capillary action dripping leak that had become a P.I.T.A. Water will always go to the lowest point so wash ports are a deffo. Nice to see you are progressing keep up the good work.
       Cheers,
               Faz. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi all, just a quick update.....Nothing is getting done on the build at the moment due to waiting to go back into hospital to have a bit more of my leg amputated, once they have sorted my leg out I will get back to working on the tugs again.

Regards Dave.
