Is the following legitimate or a spoof

Either way, it's an interesting concept. O0

It could also be an interesting model... :-)

That was built right here in town.
I had a meeting downtown, so I drove over to see it, and as I crossed the bridge it was
sitting at the pier. I exited, navigated traffic, pulled in and parked,... And it was gone.
Stealthy ship.

So here are some media photos from the cruise and christening.

Thank you. :-)) :-))

Very interesting video.

Looks like a large Trimaran minus the sails.

The Electronic suite will need to be very sophisticated, to prevent/overcome unnecessary interference and deliberate jamming.

Yes, it looks like a simple style of model to build, a long pointy thing comes to mind. :-)) :-))

Those twin diesel engines must be very :o very economical

Hi all, very intriguing, the narrow bow entry will be for wave piercing travel.  The Kilo class submarines are diesel and almost undetectable when moving.  Look forward to more.  Glyn Guest's trimaran warship could be re-worked to look like this.

With no RC Jamming would not be an option. All the jamming I have ever hear about is mounted of unsophisticated vehicles. Perhaps to stop interference with your own counter measure platform.
If it is autonomous, it would only need to send updates back to base. Communication with base by burst transmission would also make it less detectable.
Basically, if you can get close enough to see it and try to electronically interfere with it,  you could shoot it out of the water. As long as it can see you (or your pinging of it), identify you as unfriendly, and travel faster than you, she should be pretty safe.

So, to just a little point.

If it is meant to sail the ocean's wide with no crew, and by camera only, why does it have windows in the wheel house.

Jim.
Its a prototype for testing the idea and would need a crew just in case during testing.  Probably the real thing could dispense with the wheelhouse, probably the railings as well.
If its going to use radar for spotting shipping, it won't be that stealthy.
I do hope that they get their GPS sorted, didn't they manage to ground a minesweeper the other year trusting that?  And that one had a crew who were looking where they were going.
It looks like a development of the Earthrace design.  That could go a long way on a tankful.  However, reading its story - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MY_Ady_Gil - the problems of sailing a long time are illustrated.  They had problems that needed a crew to fix them, an autonomous crewless boat would be unable to overcome them.  Probably.

The wheel house is bolted in front of the conning tower, that is shown in the design renderings.
Once everyone and the boat gain experience they will probably remove the wheel house for crew free testing.
