Discount all sorted and in the finalised stage of ensuring that when a Mayhem member rings up to book their camping space that the person on the other end knows to give the discount as a new team of receptionists arrived last year and didn’t know! Fingers crossed you’ll get all the information in 12 days when I return from Aki!

How come I was told by Martin, that there was no discount this year ? Without a discount at £30 per night for me to do for me to do Fri/Sat/Sunday night's, because of my disability, which meant £90 without any electric, it put it out of my available pocket (As I was coming on my own - My wife hates model weekends). So now i have made other arrangements to go to another "day event", I find that discounts are available. I'm not changing my arrangements again. So looks like I miss out on Mayhem again.
Extremely fed up about it 😔

Hi Rolfy Dave

I’m sorry to hear about the confusion. I don’t know why Martin said that but he is quite a busy man and may have been misinformed about the discount. Either way I’m sorry for it as I’m the one who organises the campsite discount. The reason why the discount information is late being issued every year is because the Park doesn’t formally open until Easter every year so they operate with a skeleton crew. They have to brief out the information to the receptionists so we don’t get the confusion we had a few years back when some of them didn’t know about the Mayhem discount and a few angry Mayhemers couldn’t book the site.
Hopefully this is all behind us with the new Management and I get on quite well with the new MD.

Thanks for that Nick, I do appreciate it. Sadly it means that I won't be attending this year, so i will have to hope I'm still around in a year's time.

I’ve just checked my inbox for my emails as usually I get a response in a couple of days but no reply. Did a bit of investigation and discovered that the clever iPhone predictive software chose an old email address to send my last email to. I’ve sent another to the email address I know that works!
I’ll let you know hopefully by Wednesday. Typical technology letting down simple requests!

If all else fails I’m going up to reception on Tuesday to drop off the paperwork for the weekend I get it sorted then.
