I have booked the Holiday Inn on Friday night. Too old for camping!

That's the one. The nearer Premier Inn has building works going on and parking restrictions. The Holiday Inn is only 4.5 miles from Wicksteed and the rate includes breakfast.

I really like that big white body walking on the water early on  {-)  ........in flight the same [body to the nose] reminded me of a US B1  Bomber ....so science & technology copying & following Mother Nature :-))

It was significant that the bird flew by the British flag

The speed of the changing snap shots may require a second viewing [which I did]...... the music needs to be such to gain the attention or the alarming or such to alert listener/watcher.......it does that  %)  ....[ quite impressed with the musical piece however needed to ask Wiki in the understanding of the construction meaning or Term]

Derek

Courtesy of Wiki ...[is my thought correct?]

Codetta (Italian for "little tail", the diminutive form) has a similar purpose to the coda, but on a smaller scale, concluding a section of a work instead of the work as a whole. A typical codetta concludes the exposition and recapitulation sections of a work in sonata form, following the second (modulated) theme, or the closing theme (if there is one). Thus, in the exposition, it usually appears in the secondary key, but, in the recapitulation, in the primary key. The codetta ordinarily closes with a perfect cadence in the appropriate key, confirming the tonality. If the exposition is repeated, the codetta is also, but sometimes it has its ending slightly changed, depending on whether it leads back to the exposition or into the development sections

Role up, role up

The great Mayhem at Wicksteed experience is happening May 25 and 26 or to those on old time - Whitsun Bank holiday weekend.

Confirmed by the park management we are most welcome, and anyone wishing to use the campsite (a section will be cordoned off for Mayhem use) a £10 off per night per tent/caravan/motor home discount is being ratified by the park. To take advantage of the discount please quote that you are with the Model Boat Mayhem.
Please note: please give the park until the end of next week to book your campsite space to allow for the park to open fully and all the reception staff to be briefed by the park management. The phone number is: (01536) 512475 please don’t use the online booking system if you wish to use the discount.

For those you have camped before, reception has moved from the wooden conservatory building to a rather plush reception desk in the centre of the main buildings complex, you can’t miss it as it has automatic sliding doors and is below the glass balcony area.

We will have a limited number of tables for our use, first come first served, but if you have a table of your own we ask that you bring it.

Lots of fun to be had, even if we get the infamous Northamptonshire vertical mist! :D

Watch this space from the likes of me, Klunk, steamboat Phil, and Martin for future announcements regarding special demonstrations being organised for the weekend.

See you there! :-))

Just tried booking. The lady has not heard of any discount. I've asked her to call me back when she has clarification. They want an extra £5 per night if over 20ft. I said is it a bigger pitch? no its just a field  {-)

well a few weeks to Mayhem....and the list of things to do grows longer!! Not sure how though.
Hopefully if things go well, I have several boats going up for sale, a few motors and some books. Types of boats are trawler, a couple of warships (hachette Bismarck, never sailed, as its my shelf queen), some yachts and maybe a hovercraft, a submarine (darnell), a very rare hydrofoil and anything else I can find.
Also, will be bringing the Atlantis for anyone who fancies a go!

Via email to Mayhem...

What time does the Weekend start ??.
I like to get in early !.
Also when does it finish ??.
What is the Cost this year ??.

The information in Model Boats magazine and all the mentions that Martin does on the forum and Facebook is not enough then...

Obviously we must try harder next year! ;)

Trying to get my Invincible semi operational for the Mayhem weekend, sea trials part two next weekend so hopefully I can get into the battle line.

Lots of things to do and get done... :-))
