Locate your lost sub - Pinger 2 Ultrasonic
« on: April 19, 2016, 02:04:59 pm »

Some constructional details of the new ultrasonic Pinger on the AMS Forum. This is much more directional making sub location easier.

Over the years, I've been puzzled that more sub enthusiasts don't use them. Cheap compared with the loss of a sub and enables you to safely sail in water that isn't  "gin-clear." (i.e most ponds)

PS Also notes on a small development setback for openLRS in my sub!

Someone asked me the ultrasonic frequency used - 40KHz , as it happens, and I've added this and some more detail to the original article.
