Metcalf Mouldings
« on: May 30, 2006, 11:28:07 am »

Hi,
I am a novice thinking of trying my hand at building a model sub, I am interested in older types of British subs and am quite keen to have a go at one of Metcalf Mouldings type S boats,
Unfortunately I cant access their email address, does anyone know of another email address or suppler of British sub hulls/kits.

 :)

In one of the previous threads someone mentioned they were ex-Darnell moulds which is past their best. The e-mail address and several views on these hulls were mentiond in a previous thread, I think it is well worth searching as I think the consensus of opionion was you may have some fit problems.. Also I think DM is on holiday for a couple of weeks.

Hope this helps

Thanks Mate,
Hmm, might think twice, was talking to my mate about one of Sirmars Leander class boats and it sounds like it might be a better choice!

Another suggestion...

http://www.modelluboot.de/KITS/C_Bilder/Cclass.html

The kit contains:

Scale 1:32, 1300mm long, 130mm wide, cfK-kit: 3 Hull parts, deck, Turm, Plan.

If you are still interested in getting an S Class, contact OTW, rumour has it that they are bringing out an S. It wont be cheap, but it will be superb.
