Not to my knowledge, I have never seen any.
Recovery in the event of breakdown would be tricky as the lake is huge.

Many years ago there used to be an advert run monthly in the Model Boats magazine via a stately Home adjacent to Rutland Water, that offered it's guests staying there for Bed and Breakfast the chance to sail the Home/hotel's two large model ocean Liners, one of which was an 8' model of the Mauretania.

I think from memory the place was called Oakham Manor, and I often wondered what happened to the old models once they had stopped advertising in the magazine.

I always fancied going to stay for a couple of nights, but could never afford it.

So the answer is, possibly yes, as it has been done in years past!.

I wonder if anyone else remembers these old adverts, dating back to the early 1980's, or if anyone still has a copy and could reproduce it on these pages for nostalgia.
