This looks like a toy for James Bond :-))
I can see this being useful where people live in an archipelago of islands and ferrying between is difficult, or you would be forced to leave (park or garage) vehicles in other places.

Back in the 90s I bought an old Suzuki GS550 that had been painted bright pink. I planned to spray it black, but after only a few day I realised that the pink bike was a chick magnet. Girls and women would come up to just comment about the color, a real magnet and an ice breaker. Needless to say, the color stayed pink.
When I got the odd comment from blokes, I would just tell them story, and the conversation quickly turned to one of interest, rather than scorn.

There was a German or Swiss one, better looking not a "jeep" looking thing but a real autobahn cruiser as well as a high speed boat.   OO7 would have had one , classy.
