Hi all

I have just started using my new charger to night , plugged in a 7.2 v   3700 mah  at a charge rate of 1.5amp
The small fan inside the charger hasn't started up , should it run when changing or will it only come on if the charger got to warm/hot ?
Everything else seems ok ,around 50mins to charge battery is warm
I haven't found anything in the instructions about it,  does anyone know / have the same charger?

Thanks

Hi.
I have one of these.. best charger i have ever had..
My fan runs each time i charge any battery from start of charge
until its fully charged.
However in the instructions under maximum safety ...it says the internal cooling fan comes on automatically only when the internal temperature of the unit is raised..
Hope this helps

Hi sub driver

I will have a look again after a sleep,  although it has changed 3 x batteries no problem, and the charger didn't get warm even when I increase the amp's up to 2 amps .

Thanks for your quick reply

Just cycled 11.2v 2200mah lipos balance charge for use then back onto a storage charge at 1 amp for storage .

Hi sub ,
Thanks for the info
I haven't tested a lead acid yet ,

I have been down to my club Sunday today,  one of the members has the same charger , I asked him what the fan does when he charges ,
he said if the battery is a 7.2v
1800mah     set charge rate at 1.8amps the doesn't run
2300mah     set charge rate at 2.3amps    the fan will run

I tested some of my batteries  tonight
4200mah  set charge rate at 4.2amps the fan ran
2200mah  set charge rate at 2.2amps  the fan stopped and started during charging
1800mah set charge rate at 1.8amps fan did not run..

Not sure what's right %)

I did try discharging the fan didn't come on and the charger did get very warm

I will contact the company where it came from to ask them

Thanks again
