Broomfield park boating pond, London.
« on: July 26, 2016, 03:44:48 pm »

Hi, Help needed, My local boating pond at Broomfield Park North London, has been neglected and has been allowed to weed up.The Broomfield M B C used to clean it every year but no longer. I am concerned that the council are allowing this to happen so they can claim that no'one uses the pond and fill it in. Can anyone advise me as to what to do about this and who to contact. I have tried the club but nothing has changed. HELP. :((

Other than consistent cleaning, the only practical methods involve starving the weed of nutrient.

Setting 10% of the pond over to Norfolk reed would help keep the water clean, and wouldn't greatly impact model boating, as it's a fair size puddle.
