Looks nice on the water Stan - she may be running slightly bow down but don't forget, that's with the main deck and all it's fittings missing, along with the nets and rollers. This could make quite a difference. :-)

Regards,

Ray.

HI Guys the small pump is out not sure if it will repair. Located a replacement not cheap but it will pump air gases and liquids so it should be just the job. Hopefully will be placing order tomorrow.  Will post pictures when it arrives.

Brushless motor with built in esc?
Very expensive >>:-( .
I seem to remember Deans Marine
bringing out one a lot cheaper not
long ago.
Pump that is, I think it was designed for
a fire monitor.

HI Guys this model will pump air/ gases/ or liquids. This item is a diaphragm type pump  the company supplies them  for use in medical applications and industry. Sadly they are not something you find on the high street. In reply to T33cno  Owch is right. The motor is a normal brushed motor but the brushless version does have a built in electronics.

As self priming one could probably run it continuously as a bilge pump.? Or just switch it if the waterline is looking compromised  {-) :-))
My Afon does let in water if it's rough. This could be the answer rather than trying to seal the deck hatch.
Perhaps secure my batteries for big waves  <*<

The poor performance of many after market inline 12 volt window washer pumps is starved suction >>:-(.....

[usually listed as 6 mm tube size, however this is OD and the ID is more like 4mm ID suction and discharge]

Genuine replacement pumps are more expensive, however look at the suction port size :o [15mm ID?].....these are also gear pumps...... so are positive displacement and reversible for flow direction

The new pump in now fitted. A few pictures showing pump and piping and the voltage regulator that controls voltage to the pump. All this is switched on using a Action single non latching electronic unit. If you use channel five on the planet set you can make the switcher a latching unit.

Finally started to prime the hull and cabin. Watching other posts, there seems to be problems with primers  I have used two different kinds on this boat see pictures. The primers used are from Halfords and Auto Tek and both have been applied over each other and if you check out the contact number on each can you will see they are the same. Both of these primers are made in the same factory and are fully compatible with each other and the can be used with Hi Cote  as this is from the same factory as well. Just  a few pictures showing first masking of the cabin area ready for priming, some shots of the hull in primer with just some final  filling to do in places. The cabin will need some major filling before it can be painted. A WORD OF WARNING IF USING LIGHT PLY IT DOES NOT SEAL VERY WELL AND WILL NEED  A LOT OF FILLING  IF YOU INTEND TO PAINT. :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :((AFTER WORK. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
