Colloquialisms coined by famous faces, and terms originating from pop culture are present, along with iconic foods including battered savs, chocolate crackles, and fairy bread.

He's credited with realigning some of our Australianisms, such as shirtfront.
Captain's pick was another one which had some interesting fallout for Tony Abbott.
He's also the poster boy for the term budgie smuggler, which is another term that we have.

Oh Ned......it is all too true O0...and this man was educated by you Folk over there at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar ...he has more Degree and Master letters after his name than 2/3 of the alphabet...and was also a man of the Cloth at one stage :o

'Abbott gaffe takes centre stage

On the campaign trail with Tony Abbott, Jonathan Swan reports on the Coalition's infrastructure pledge, and an unintended bout of potty humour.

No one,” Tony Abbott told a Melbourne gathering of Liberal Party faithful, “however smart, however well-educated, however experienced … is the suppository of all wisdom”.

The Opposition Leader's travelling mentor, Philip Ruddock, squirmed and the Victorian MP Josh Frydenberg took a few seconds to register what his leader had said'

To really 'speak Oz' you need to end every sentence in a higher pitch of voice .
This only work's if you are an official or wearing a unifoRM  . . .
'THEY' are trying to copy it over here , just not working . . . .  :P

That is with words such as Chateau de Cradboard and the IKUEA catalogue

I rest my case with the image below............ Derek {-)
