Propeller choice
« on: August 28, 2016, 06:46:06 am »

Hi,

I have been pondering over propeller choices for some time and I appreciate the motor/battery set up etc. But is there any clear guidance on the type and pitch for say a model lifeboat?

For example would a 5 Blade C-Type Propeller be suitable or 3/4 blade same type or type A or B, notwithstanding the real look ?

Thoughts appreciated.

Hi  it depends on the size & scale of the boat plus drive motors plus running voltage  Bill..

You could pick the bones from this link http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,37609.msg377048.html#msg377048 for starters ...........

I think it also depends on period and type  of boat being modelled
