I have just started a 1/72 (Fleetscale) build of the T45 Daring Class destroyer and would like to incorporate the Harpoon Launchers into the build. From some research, I have established that the T45 was not contracted to be built with Harpoon and so no budget was allocated. But, as the 4 T22 Frigates were being decommissioned early 4 system was made available to be recycled. My question is which of the 6 T45 received the Harpoon Launchers? From pictures, I know Duncan and Diamond received these, which were the other two?

Hi,
They were designed to be fitted to 4 but only 2 Diamond and Duncan were fitted, Harpoon is now being withdrawn from all.
I built my 1/96 based on Diamond

Harpoon being replaced by the Norwegian Naval Strike Missile on all Frigates and all the T45's will get them when they get their mid life upgrades with the removal of Astor 15 ( replaced with Sea Ceptor missiles ) as well as I think some thought did go into whether or not to put in some strike length tubes for TLAM's but can't find anything that states that is happening now

A quick Google Images search reveals pictures of HMS Daring fitted with Harpoon at some point during her life so far.

this sound very interesting i'm just refitting my t45 and maybe i should future proof it with these upgrades any more information

Only seen a few photos of one of the Type 23 Frigates having her Harpoon launchers removed with the statement that NSM's being installed in their place , not seen any images of what the new launchers will look like onboard ship though , Think there's a T45 with the new Sea Ceptor launch silos put in ahead of the Aster launcher in the raised block forrard just in Portsmouth last week
