2016 Darwinian award contender
« on: October 10, 2016, 10:11:30 pm »

a Blackpool man was given 24 years inside today for trying to smuggle 26 million quids worth of heroin into Manchester airport from IRAN.

his novel idea, was not the usual disguise......to use a boat, a light aircraft or stash in a car or any other motrised  method..............but to stash the gear inside a commercial oven..........has no one ever told him it would have been cheaper to buy one from AO.com, lol

I mean.....such items are obviously weighed before flight, their all up weight would be known, and 26 mill quids worth of heroin isn't going to be the weight of a chicken, on top of the oven weight, lol............it must have been greatly overweight.....

what a numpty.

The more the merrier I say, because then more of ths society damaging s**t can be kept from the streets.

It does make me laugh though of the gambles some people will take to try and smuggle.

I thought the recipients were being 'honoured' for removing themselves from the gene pool, that fellow is going to get out in half the time he was given to serve in jail.

Yes, that's not really a life threatening activity, so not really a contender for the DA.

Still funny though  {-)

   Almost certainly! But as the flopsy hand wringers and do-gooders will reassure us, he will have, of course, seen the errors of his ways over this time and they will have made sure that he has not been deprived of too much for 12 years, so no point in keeping him in any longer!  >>:-(

PMSL at the plancha (hotplate) in the pool. That deffo has to be Spain with the plancha and the type of 2 pin extension block floating on the flipflops.

This young man's death was a tragedy. I can only guess how his friend's and family feel at their loss.  {:-{

making this sort of comment on the
death of someone what ever the circumstance.

Perhaps you are right Ned but it does illustrate the appalling ignorance that some people have these days of activities that put their lives in hazard.

People complain about the 'nanny state' but it is easy to see why this is often necessary to save people from themselves. So many people today seem to lack the nous to assess risks to themselves and by extension to others. When I first got a mobile phone I tried using it in the car and immediately realised that this was not a safe practice yet thousands of people still think it is perfectly OK to do so despite all the publicity and one of them could easily wipe me out on the road.
