Where is the Flundle?
« on: October 21, 2016, 12:03:21 pm »

Its ages since I have posted anything concerning the Shannons so I though I would bring you up-to-date a bit.
Firstly, Mark will be at the Blackpool show and he will have the latest 'everything' there to show you. He can discuss most aspects of the kits with you and can take firm order to keep you in the pipeline.

I however will NOT be there.

I have been in hospital for almost four weeks now. I went into the Leicester Royal Infirmary's A&E with severe pains in my chest and thought It was a heart attack.
They did a lot of diagnostic stuff and it turned  out that I have Costochondritis. This is the medical term for inflammation of the cartilage that joins your ribs to your breastbone (sternum). This area is known as the costochondral joint.
There is no cure other than rest and pain killer.
A CT scan then showed up a misshaped oesophagus and stomach indicating a blockage .
They fitted a drain and got 635 ml of what looked like coffee ground out of there.
They also discovered that my bowel was impacted.
They gave something to drink and WHAM!
Empty!
Then I had an endoscopy to see if there was any sings of a blockage left and there were no signs.
I was then discharged.

When I got home I went straight to bed.
Within six hours it all came back, IN SPADES.
This time I went to Walsgrave hospital Coventry because I refused to go back to the LRI.
I apparently have a vey complex 'perfect storm' of issues.
However I could be out next week, depending of course on all being well, pain control sorted and the storm subsiding.
If your going to the Show have a good one!
Adrian.

I remember you saying you needed a holiday last time I spoke to you, certainly not my idea of said holiday.

Hope you feel better soon and manage to escape.

Best wishes Shaun.
