Help needed with a 1:1 scale model Lifeboat
« on: October 28, 2016, 01:06:47 pm »

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents,

As some of you may not be aware, outside of my modelling interests (sadly with very little skill) I am also the chairman of a charity based in Lowestoft, converting a former lifeboat for use as a youth training vessel. We've recently been entered in to a grant programme to potentially be awarded with a grant for up to £25,000 which we intend to use to replace the engines in the vessel, an essential part of making the project work. This grant programme works by getting votes of support from members of the public or friends and family of the people connected with the project or charity, the projects with the most votes are then judged by Aviva's community fund judges and the successful projects are awarded with the funding they are seeking.
I would like to ask for your support, The website to vote is: http://www.acf.50001.org.uk
Registration and voting is simple, click register and log in, follow the instructions to register or to connect via facebook account.
using the slider, you can give us up to 10 votes before clicking vote, you could then help us further by spreading the word via social media or with friends and family.

we would be greatly appreciative of your support.

yours faithfully,

Scott Snowling, Chairman,
Thames Class Lifeboat Trust
Registered charity No. 1160783

Votes given.  Hope you get the grant (so I can pop by for a cuppa and a natter).
Cheers
