Is this the basic version of the electrics.

Where to buy has to be the next question I guess.  U.K only.

The various electronic units are already assembled but you will have to cut the wires to length to suit your model and fit them into the screw terminals. The diagrams should help.

  Hi,
It depends on whether or not you want to tow with your tug, if you do I would suggest separate ESC'S for both motors and the bow thruster then, depending on which transmitter you are using (I use a Spectrum DX6) you can tweak things to your own liking. If you do not intend to do towing go for the Action route ring Ian he's very helpful and will not rip you off just tell him what you want to do. Hope this helps.
     Cheers,
            Pete. :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi No I do not intend to tow anything with it.
I have a 4 channel 2.4 GHz Transmitter nothing special.

Two brushed 12 volt motors  and a small brushed motor for the thruster.
Tried the thruster motor using the esc I have for a springer tug and it work’s fine using the 7.2 battery.

the set-up suggested is here  by member Inertia   http://www.action-electronics.co.uk/pdfs/Basic%20P94%20set-up%20with%20bow%20thruster.pdf

   Hi again,
Yeah see where he's coming from but that means you will need a P102, P94 and the one (forgot the number) for the bow thruster. If you PM me your email address I will send you a photo of the set up I use which is a P102 separate 15amp on/off switch (Maplin) and 3 ESC's. When towing we use tank steering for fine touch the mixer means that the electrics do it for you if you want they can be altered/switched to other methods which, obviously will be your individual choice. Hope this helps.
     Cheers,
            Pete. :-)) :-)) :-))

Here's one option. The website has many others. http://www.action-electronics.co.uk/pdfs/Basic%20P94%20set-up%20with%20bow%20thruster.pdf

Is the above for brushless motors  or brushed.
Or does it not matter ?

A very quick look at the list of motors in the link will reveal that they are all brushed types.  An equally quick look at the drawing will show motors with but two wires each.  Since brushess have three, it is safe to assume that brushed motors are intended.  Just as well that the advice is centered on brushed motors, since that seems to be the intended fit.

Sonar,
My tug set up is brushed twin MMM T12's with a Graupner 600 for the bow thruster.

Thank goodness for that I had thought for a while I had dropped yet another clanger.
