Distribution board?
« on: November 06, 2016, 03:37:58 pm »

Hi guys / gals!

Im going to be adding a few modules to my build, such as sound unit, smoke module, lighting etc, my running gear is a 24volt motor powered by 2x 12v Gel Cells.

Each device is a different voltage, eg: the sound module is 6volt & the smoke module im thinking of using is going to be either 12v or 24v (as ive not decided yet which one to use).

Ive never built a model with this sort of wiring before so im a complete "newbie" to it to be honest. So my questions are, im guessing i need a distribution board of some kind, if so which is a good & reliable one?

And should i use a seperate 3rd battery for running my lights & modules etc so it leaves my running gear batterys free for just the motor.. Space & weight isnt an issue as the hull will need ALOT of ballast so the battery weight will help.

Any info much appreciated!

Thanks :)
