Motor size for Aeronaut Queen
« on: November 06, 2016, 03:57:03 pm »

Hello, I am a new conscript to model boat building. And new to this forum. Just started on an Aeronaut Queen. ( Not Sea Queen)
Completely green with regard to electrics. I bought at a recent show from Components Stand a 12 v 5500 rpm motor. I now wonder if this is the correct one for the 900 mm hull length.
I also need a suggestion for wiring diagram.
Thanks for any possible help. Ron.    In Lancashire

Just built one of these for a colleague and fitted a  Graupner Speed 600 with 7.2 battery and 50 Amp Speed Controller (purchased with the kit from Howes)

Gives the boat a fair turn of speed but could probably do with higher amp hour batteries to give better run time

Kind regards
