Exeter & District Model Engineering Society
« on: November 14, 2016, 09:45:39 PM »

The club has slightly updated its name (previously Exeter SMEE) and will now be meeting at St Katherine's Priory in Exeter on the 3rd Friday of each month at 7pm for 7.30 start. Meeting fee 2. Parking nearby.
There are plans to build a track on the site.
Still in its early days but it has been meeting since mid 2016 and has over 20 members already.
Steamboats, locos, and traction engines. CNC and 3D printing. All modelling really.

I am pleased to hear that the society has a good core of members already. There must have been a real need for a society in the area to meet model enginners needs even if just socially. I recall you saying that an older society had disbanded, so its good that a new one exisits. I had a look at your site and the facebook page. Its early days, but you have a good strong junior membership by the look of things.
