Hi Derek I am using a turnigy servo slower with a built in reverser for one of the servo,s it has connections for three servo,s and the connection to the receiver so I can alter the speed up and down individually and also alter servo direction on at least one servo, I havnt tried three servo,s on it to find out if more can be changed but then again if not the other two would be opposite anyway
, the video was taken when first set up , I have since fettled it and now the speed is slower both ways and I have updated the spring arrangement of the servo savers too, the servo discs are also 3d printed and have a recess on the underside to line up with a standard servo disc which has been drilled and pop riveted together to enable enough linear movement for the chain travel.
One drawback to slowing down the servo,s is a lack of torque this I may rectify by upgrading the servo,s at a later time as they are the basic Hobby king ones at the moment.
The stern door will be sanded smooth and filled where required and should look ok when painted up, it has not been printed in ABS but in PLA which is bio degradable (not my favourite material for using but has a much smaller shrinkage problem than Abs) I am hoping that when painted it should be up to the job.
