Hi guys :)

My Hull is GRP & i want to re-inforce it using wooden bulkheads, whats the easiest/best method to get the correct size/shape so they fit snug?

Same for the deck to, should i use some cardboard as a template? and is the best method for deck to lay down a piece of cardboard large enough then get the hull and place it face down onto the cardboard & then draw a line all the way around on the cardboard?

Should i make templates using cardboard or ?

Any info or tips for muchos appreciated as always :)

Thanks guys/gals :)

there are some handy gadgets around that will "measure profile contours" if you put that in Google you will see what I mean...
there are other ways, for example if you have a strip of roofing lead, you can force it into the Hull and it will follow the contours, making templates out of cardboard or thick paper is always a good idea .. !!

cool thanks :)

those profile contours are what im looking for, just need to try find one large enough now that aint too expensive! :D

Doing half profiles would mean you could use a smaller gauge for the bulkheads.
