Anyone able to offer their services!
« on: November 19, 2016, 04:28:29 PM »

Hiya guys!

bit of a long shot but looking through some of people's work here on these forums I'm hoping someone maybe able to help! ..or if you know of anywhere that could offer this service?

below is a simple diagram & info of what I'm after, its basically a mount for my motor, I've emailed a few different companies on the net but no reply as yet :(

So I'm wondering if anyone here can help, I will pay of course, if you can help me out just reply here or drop me a PM, it would be greatly appreciated! ..I would do it myself but I don't have the tools to do it & by the time I bought all the tools to do it then it would end up being very expensive mount!

Anyway below are details!

Here is a little more detail for each piece:

End Plate #1
L:100mm H:70mm
3mm Thickness
30mm hole cut out in centre

End Plate #2
L:100mm H:70mm
3mm Thickness
12mm hole cut out in center

Bottom Brace (Brass prefably?) I need 2 of these!
L:100mm W:9mm H:9mm
M5x15mm Threaded hole at both ends
4mm Countersunk hole (NO thread just a hole straight through)

Thanks guys/gals! :)

I made a few very very simple motor mounts.

Then laminated them into position.
I will find they are easy to remove and with others made it will be easy to place them into another model at a later date.

Rough I know but does the job.

Good to see that you're going to have a shot at it yourself tizdaz, always a good way to learn. One tip though if you're going to use brass - - do not under any circumstances hold brass in , or down with ,your hand while drilling  - - you are very likely to get hurt! Always hold the workpiece securely with vice or clamps which are fixed to a bench. Most brasses have a strong tendency to ''climb'' the flutes of the drill as it digs in and the workpiece then rotates on the drill. Maybe you know this already, in which case I apologise for preaching!
