Has anyone been blown about by storms
« on: December 23, 2016, 07:35:34 pm »

Hi there has anyone been suffering from Storm Barbara yet?   We are getting a bit breezy down by the ankles in the North East UK - according to my weather meter we are experiencing gusts of up to 30 mph - batten down the hatches.

Watching out for a few blow-up snowmen to pass us  ok2  {-) {-) {-)

We've just had a big rain storm with some serious gusting, probably the lull before the real storm then!

Yes, Fleetwood and Knott End have had a very stormy day, roof tiles off and littering streets and coming back from Lancaster by bus this afternoon, the driver had to pull over on the sands because the rain was so severe he couldn't see a few yards in front of him. we had to sit there being battered by wind and rain for about 10 minutes.

Never seen rain so heavy.

I bet. I took the M80 - went to work diagonally  %%  I did wonder if the canopy over the Petrol Station would take off. (It did a few years back!) Calmish now, which is good, as I've 480 miles to drive over Christmas.  :embarrassed:

Peter.

Same here in Queensland, some really awesome thunderstorms, lightning strikes, but no rain, (in my area).

Doesn't even look as though the storm will even reach us down in the south east.

A bit breezy here on the south coast but I guess it's not our turn this time - we had Angus to contend with a while back.
