quick question.


Can these be wired to the motor to created proportional smoke, or are they just on or off?

You may get a bit of a lag in operation. That unit takes a few seconds to get to a working temperature, so the action will be sluggish at best. However, if you stop for a while, so will the smoke unit. Worth a try.

If you run the smoke unit off a 6v supply and put an Action P68s (http://www.componentshop.co.uk/p68s-variable-speed-brushless-fan-controller.html), on a 'Y' lead with your main speed controller, underneath it, you can blow more or less smoke up your funnel as you increase or decrease speed. I used two Graupner smoke units in parallel with a P68s on my Solebay (http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,47910.msg485423.html#msg485423).
