Anyway, back in May of 2017...I missed these High Pressure Air Bottles mounted above the fwd & aft torpedo spaces ....
Surprisingly these bottles were mounted external of the pressure hull, or the were in the outer free flooding shell and hence not accessible for any form of maintenance when the submarine was at sea
The bottles would have been charged to ~~300 Bar [4500 PSI] by the submarine's HP air compressors......the function was to near instantaneously release this HP volume of air so to produce the explosive like charge of air to thrust/blast the torpedos from the vessels torpedo tubes.....
