Adrian at Speedline has now said that the winner of the Best Lifeboat competition can choose between a 1:12 or a 1:16 model of the Shannon.

Not often that a £1000 prize is on offer  :-)

It Certainly is, and 1 I stand absolutely stand no chance of Ever winning.... <:( <:(

On Another Note.

It has been brought to my attention that on various Forums, Facebook Pages etc. a question has been asked if the show is going ahead this year !!!, Well I can confirm  that Yes it is and I have no I idea why anyone would think other wise without first possibly contacting the organisers who's details are on all the posters and posts before starting rumours..

Not long to go now.. :} :} :} :}   Traders Booked and will be waiting to take your Money .. %% %% %%

Currently 16 Traders, 24 Clubs and 4 Individuals and the Life Boat enthusiasts  all booked in..

I have just set up my stand at Haydock and everything is working like clockwork, many thanks to the organisors for their  assistance and cooperation, all that is needed is a good turnout of visitors with a positive outlook. Howard.

I'm in Liverpool, mates!
having fun.
This morning I spotted the tug Svitzer Bidston, IMO 9286695 on the Mersey river  ;D
According to AIS there are several Smit tugs here, further down the river.

The Quarrymen were great today!

Tomorrow morning I'm off to Haydock Park.

And tomorrow you'll see, or might not if your at the show, the tug "Union Diamond" towing a barge with the back end of the "Sir Richard Attenborough" on it.

Clearly you have inside information, Liverbudgie...
I'm going for the convention despite the promise of spotting the Union Diamond.
It's another dream come true for me. In Finland, our shows don't come anywhere near the UK ones. There simply are so many more hobbyists, here.

Hello!
What would be the best way to get from Liverpool to Haydock and back on this Sunday, please. I'm trying to figure out the public xportation - can't afford rental car;
Lime st - St Helens train
St Helens - Haydock bus 320
???
Please advice, so I don't waste time and instead will spend it at the show.
The site was not specific enough for my case...
I know - should have thought about it more in advance.

I was wondering, how does one regognise a fellow-Mayhemmer?
If you wish, you can give a pat on my shoulder.
I will be the only one at the show with a rather conspicuous Tee shirt:
SUNSHOT on the front, "Have you auditioned" on the back.
