robbe duo switch
« on: February 07, 2017, 10:31:40 am »

Hi,I previously asked if one of my duo switches has any way possible to be repaired. The lights don't work and no signal,They are quite expensive ,so could they possibly be repaired. It controls the morse signal unit and navigation lights.Or is the Engel 4 way mini switch capeable of doing the same job? :-X

Hi,I previously asked if one of my duo switches has any way possible to be repaired...
Bill, by that, did you refer to this thread? http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,56436

On reading g6swj's mention of relays(see quote below) the conclusion of those with rc electronic expertise would be a wiring fault outside the unit.
...
Can you hear the relays clicking?
Even if you were wrong about fusing on November 13th the worst case is a blown copper track or faulty relay (easily replaced by yourself). Have you not asked a competent person in a nearby model boat club to look at the unit or the whole installation?
