Mayhem brightens the day
« on: February 11, 2017, 11:45:06 am »

Got up this morning - its as miserable as can be outside = snow, sleet, rain, ice, wind you name it :-)  its only good for ducks outside.   Nowt on the telly - even me coffee gone cold - so thank goodness for Mayhem :-)

and to top it all, I have just realised I have painted all me bits and pieces the wrong colour hey ho.

To (mis)quote the late, so very great, Eric Morecambe, what you've actually done is use all the correct colours, but not necessarily in the right places.  :-))

I didn't realise you went in for body painting John.  ok2 Never mind, it'll probably wash off.

Pretty miserable down here too. Trying to make a box for the nearing completion fishery cruiser but the garage is really too cold to work in comfortably.

It is even cold and wet down here in Malaga. Too cold for me in the workroom!

Bluebird (wrong colour): Anything left outside is likely to turn blue right now.  Wait till it warms up and the colour should return to its natural hue.

I am seriously thinking of buying some electric motorcycle inner gloves for sailing sessions.  On Thursday I left the lake a little early, just when they started evacuating the brass monkeys.

Sorry Guys

Down south in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia it is only 25 degrees with about 500 wooden boats in for a wooden boat festival.

I'm in the same boat. Spent yesterday cutting and fabricating a weathertight door in plasticard. Then used that to make a silicone mould. Then cast one this morning only to realise I had scaled it at 1/48th and not 1/72nd so a day lost. Then today I spent an hour drawing up a computer fan grille for another project, cut it out on the laser only to then realise I had taken the measurement on the fan horizontal and vertical, and when I had drawn in up in Coreldraw I had made the measurement on the diagonals :(( result was the grille when cut was 20 mills bigger in all directions than needed. So a waste of time having to redraw it and a waste of a sheet of acrylic. >>:-(

Yup, I get my fix here twice a day ... it helps get over the times when I can't get in the shop. Most of you folks are better builders than I am anyway.

Roy,

You are getting it easy. O0 O0 O0

Don't come further North as it's a little bit warmer.

Hopefully we will get the forecast thunderstorm this afternoon, whilst not pleasant should cool the place down a bit. :-)) :-)) :-))

Look up "Australian Wooden Boat Festival 2017"
Our ABC news has:
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-02-10/sails-unfurl-at-wooden-boat-festival/8259480
There are several other sites.
Mayhem comes before news and Facebuck in the morning.   I much prefer to start the day in a good mood.

I love the smell of napalm Mayhem in the morning.
I too start my day by making a coffee, then over to the computer for my morning dose of Mayhem. It is, I admit, a bit of a ritual. Both the coffee and Mayhem help set me up for the day. :-))
