Painting and finishing
« on: February 14, 2017, 11:21:52 am »

Hi all,
I am ready to think about starting to paint my ABS model. I have never attempted model painting, and having made a few silly errors upto now, (usually doing assembly in the wrong order!) I really do not wish to make a mess of this job through lack of experience, if I can avoid it it.
I have tried to find instructional videos, but only find how to paint fine detail scale models, usually with an airbrush. I'm going to use rattle cans, and a hand brush if need be.
My main concern is how many coats to apply, and what to do to in between layer, rubbing down etc. Then, of course finishing off.
Can anyone supply a link that would be of benefit for me?

Many thanks, Glyn.

Cheers Stavros,

That's most helpful.
Will try to follow as close as I can. Still somewhat surprised thar there does not seem to be many videos out there covering this.
Thanks again, Glyn.
