plastic pipe
« on: August 21, 2007, 08:25:53 pm »

does any one know where i can get plastic pipe about 54mm, or 45mm? find plenty 5mm either side but that would make it too big or two small.

EMA's do a good range of plastic ABS tubing, 44.4mm available-

http://www.ema-models.co.uk/shop/catpages/page-BAJ.html

54mm is a bit more tricky, they do 57mm.

When I want a custom size of tube, I either turn down a piece of thicker tubing, or GRP laminate onto a wax former (I use candle wax).

The lengths I have are about 150-160 cms, but I have sleeves to join it.
What it is is BT cable duct in grey, looks like downspout.
maybe the green stuff that cable TV/phone people use is the same size.

You are welcome to 2 meters worth, It's a bit mucky, it's been outside for some years under the shed
 ...but....I'm in Lancashire. :)

What are you making?
