Would it not be easier to make the 'Glasshouse' from 1.5 mm. Perspex and mask the windows?
The protective layers on the Perspex can be used for masking.
That's what I did for my patrol boat

Very impressive hulls, do you make the super structure out of cardboard 1st before cutting any wood?
