Hi Ladies/Gents
I have been fortunate enough to buy on ebay, a ROBBE Najade kit which has not been started. However
I have come up against two immediate hurdles
a) The motor which should have been in the box isn't, is there someone who could let me know what it should be or even suggest
a suitable alternative.
b) The kit is also without an instruction/assembly manual. Has anyone got one I can purchase from them or someone willing to photocopy their copy for me. I will meet all costs for, postage or inconvenience etc.

Hey Rocket Ron (race bike fan?)
I have an unstarted kit too.  There was a brushed version that had (I think) a speed 700 motor, and a brushless version, but i have no idea what that motor was.  I am going to modify mine a lot when i get round to it. Intend filling in the prop tunnel and going for a twin motor installation, brushless.  If i manage to find sometime i will scan the instructionsand email them to you, but not this week as i am really busy with an rc yacht event we have this weekend.  Pm me your email address.

The motor that came with my kit was a brushless Robbe ROXXY 3656-06, so I bought the recommended speed control Robbe ROXXY BL 950-6,

Here is a link to my full build log of the kit.

Mailed you a photocopy of the whole manual today Ron. About 40-odd sheets.  Coming to you from Malta so will take a few days.

Hi Ron,

The Roxxy motor that robbe suggest is a two pole motor, rather outdated by today's standards and quite expensive too...
You can use any four (or more) pole motor with Ø36 mm and a Kv of 1800 (= rev/Volt), with a 'proper' cooling jacket in stead of the barely effective coil that the kit shows.
For example this one, including the cooling jacket:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-GoolRC-1500KV-Brushless-Motor-Water-Cooling-for-800-1000mm-Boat-R7Y4-/232131739462?hash=item360c213f46:g:f88AAOSw44BYGGnp

If your goal isn't to bash around at fenomenal speeds, the motor from the link may be a bit overkill (2000W at 34V), a 1800 Kv Outrunner, on a watercooled mount will do the job too, and is more affordable:
