Caldercraft "Milford Star" build
« on: March 20, 2017, 11:29:58 pm »

Hi all,

I started this build on here approx 7/8 years ago but due to various reasons ie. health/house moves etc. It has been packed away in storage for most of that time. Well not any longer I'm pleased to say she's back home and I'm on it in between another project or two :-)  It's so good to be back building again. If there's any interest I'll do a log but here's a few pics for now...

Final one from last week, unpacked from at least five years storage, I have now completed the opening of three washports on either side and am currently re-finishing the paint work and building more of the deck fittings etc.

Well, I'm certainly interested Daleb - I got a Milford Star bought for me as a birthday present (12 years ago) and it's still in it's box. {:-{ - I'll be making a start on it sometime in the Autumn with a bit of luck. Like yourself, other things have gotten in the way.
I'll be tagging along with your build in the meantime, maybe pick up a few tips along the way.

Your efforts so far look really good. :-)

Regards,

Ray.

that looks lovely, Daleb and I have always preferred this version to the Sir Kay. always lots of scope for personal detailing.

I would also love to see a build thread of her.

Hi – I am currently building this kit, I would certainly like to see a build log as it would probably help me out too!  {-)
It's a great subject and so far has been very enjoyable.
