Can't see this shape appearing in the tug world Dave , wonder what downsides will apply  in the real world of full size ships . . . .

As a model nation we are already late to the table with X-Bow's. On the continent they are seen as the 'de rigeur' nowadays, unless of course you belong to the Maersk society  :}

I think they are cast aluminium, as I said i have had them for about six years if I am not mistaken Propshop supply them.

8mm frames and 3mm skins Ray, i used the same on the Cragsider plug ended up really strong.  :-))

Small update,I had a few lengths of timber under the work bench so  decided to cut it into 3mm planks instead of using all ply.
