No Brian60

Just in case you have never seen it. Here's the webpage scan down for Maersk.. http://www.osv-society.info/Our_Fleet.html

Also for more technical detail and youtube videos of various bit they make working on the ships their facebook page....

https://www.facebook.com/Maersk.Osv.Modelling

But you are really cracking on with the hull, I guess by later in the week it could be first lay up of the gel coat and surface mat?

Cheers Brian I often go onto the OSV-society web site, there are some fantastic models. I have quite a lot to do with her before I make the mould :-))

Hi all I have decided to make some alterations today. i have increased  the port and starboard sides by 20mm.I am looking ahead to the time when I make the mould, by raising the sides up i will have quite a bit of leeway on the final way i want her to look. i have also started on the bow bulwark.

Yep you have come across the one drawback of modelling OSV's, the low free board of the stern deck :embarrassed: anything but near calm conditions while sailing, then just like the real craft, the workdeck can be underwater, meaning a well sealed deck is a necessity.

Grazi Eupon.  I see it is an AX 04 hull, I hadn't realised this was fitted with the tilting / swivelling stern. I thought this came on much later models and was still in development when the Orca was built. I may be wrong though.

Thankyou for sharing Eupon, she is very pleasing to the eye. Indeed X Bows seem to inspire some interesting logos etc.

I like what you are doing Chip chase, she will be a fine model!

Had a busy day today pleased the weather was good, lots of sanding and the only place for that is the garden plus a god dust mask.
here are a few photos showing the amount of fillers added to get the right shape. :-))

Cheers Ray and Jim , she is starting to take shape, i think before she gets into murky waters i will be to old to lift her in LOL.
I keep changing my mind for the drive system i was going to have fixed nozzles with Becker rudders the same as my Maersk but i think she would be ok with pods the same as the ones i made for Esvagt Caroline.they would have to be bigger of course.
