The Harwich Mayflower Project
« on: April 13, 2017, 11:34:06 pm »

Some of you may know that we are doing our best to build a full scale replica of the Mayflower that sailed to the USA in 1620 in readiness for the 400th anniversary in 2020
We did finish an 8th scale model of this as seen at the US Embassy gardens in London last year. www.harwichmayflower.com
My name is Sean Day and have been with the project from the outset - part of my remit is the CAD and 3D modeling of the ship - as our build site in Harwich includes much of the historic  marshaling yards and railway goods shed, Train ferry terminal I really would like to model in 3D the Train Ferry 1,2 or 3 that is such a big part of our local history - I have been inspired by the brilliant work of some of your members and the excellent example of a model of one of these vessels - fabulous.
We have just opened our maritime heritage and railway museum and would be very happy to show slide shows etc of the work that this group creates.
I am delighted to find you guys and look forward to chatting with you.

Thank you
