Dumb wiring question.
Pointy:
I've got a motor with black and red wires and a speed controller I want to connect it to with yellow and blue wires.
Which connect to which? Okay I'm not proud :-[ any help would be great as the instructions aren't!
barriew:
It depends which way you want the motor to run :)
The motor is not bothered which way, although if it would be as well to conect the red wire to the positive output from the ESC as this will give a more efficient operation.

So, I'm not the only one with 'dumb' questions then, eh?
Hi Pointy
Do you have the radio gear yet? If so, cobble together the wiring (just twist the bare ends for now), either way around, then power up the radio gear. Make sure the servo reverse switch (if fitted) on the Tx is set to normal, then try the channel for the ESC and see which way the motor turns. By the way, if the motor is not yet mounted, tape it down to the bench top to stop it torque-twisting and shorting all the bared-ends-twisted-together wiring! Check motor rotation against prop rotation and if that is right, then you've done good, if not, just swap the wires over. Oh yeah, write down somewhere which colour goes to which: I never do and end up having to test it all again a few days later!

Hi
Normally the blue will be Neg and the Yellow will be Pos.
