Look what we bought today
« on: May 27, 2017, 08:31:17 pm »

I'm so excited we pick it up Tuesday evening (our old car is the same just 2 door and squeeze green) we're getting the xguard pack which protects the paintwork and interior it's only done 3047 miles and is like a new car, we both love it, I especially love the colour my missus chose the last one (not that I didn't like it but blue is my favourite colour)

A Ford Fiesta, the most popular car in Britain. Should have no worries for spares. Just don't try changing a side light without a big screwdriver and a youtube video.  %%

Correction requested:  How many boats of what size can it carry?  Make, model, horsepower are all secondary.   :}

  Bloody cheek ! It's got my initials on the number plate. Plate probably worth as much as the car (ET not MZF)

 No , not 16 but if you turn the number upside down it's dead right .

What a lovely car.., and I as a younger man had a Fiesta XR2...............lovely motor.

A friends daughter was after an older 55-57 plate fiesta as her first car at 18 yrs old, 4 months ago.........the ins. group for a 1.4 diesel Fiesta was 9, and was going to cost her £2300 quid..................as her first car and with a black box.

So along came a VW Polo 1.2 petrol "E"............a group 2 insurance [7 groups lower] with the same company, Admiral....£958 quid............why such a disparity when one would think a fiesta would be cheaper to repair than a VW.

There's so many factors other than just the cost of repairs of the insured car, engine size and power output, popularity and ease of a car for being stolen spring to mind ( both more applicable to the fiesta than the polo) plus whatever she might run into also has to be covered too.

yes, not thought about the fact of "steelability".........fords have always been notorious for any key fits.........was locked out of my Granada once [ a natural progression from an xr2] by my daft dog that pressed the door lock button.........a guy in a commer van just put his key in my door lock, and pop..........open she came lol.

Hi kp,
    We have the 1 litre 3 cylinder Ecoboost Fiesta Titanium in shiny black and it's brilliant.
The only criticism is the amount of reflection from the dashboard top onto the screen on very bright sunny days (unusual in the UK, I know) which can be very distracting. We have solved the problem with one of these from HK. Easy to fit with velcro pads. £25 well spent!

Fords have come along way since the old Dagenham 'dustbin' tag days. We have the Kuga, had it just under 12 months and it is simply the best car we have had. The build quality, materials, level of trim, gizmos and ride comfort are brilliant. A 2 - 4 hour car journey is now a breeze.
Eyeing up the Ford Edge for next car........if her indoors will allow it.

Hi guys thanks for the replys we are chuffed with it our old fiesta was basically the same car with the same engine, only 3 door instead of 5, this engine is so much more economical than the old one we love it, the fact it's basically the same car with a few refinements means everything is in the same place so no relearning required , this will last us till I retire in 6 yrs then we will probably get a mk 9 if they're still making the fiesta
