Boat Identification
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:45:29 am »

Can anyone recognize and tell which model, brand or kit my ship is made from?
It's 1 meter long, the hull is made from fibreglass, the superstructure is styren or similar and the parts has been printed on sheets to cut out. The fittings, like bollards and doors, are white metal, so I would think that it's a UK model as not many outside the UK use white metal.
I think that it might have been a freighter model kit, that has been converted to a Maersk container ship fitted with pre made Walters containers in size 1:87, but it could also be a container ship model just painted as a Maersk ship.
I would appreciate any idea of what it could be?

Looking at the hull, I would go anlong with Dougie, as far as the manufacture goes. ..
but it's probably a version on the Anna Marie kit..
and not the T class

Thanks for the replies until now. It's definitely not the Trein Maersk from Deans as this is 160 cm long and I don't think it's the Anna Marie either as this is 110 cm long and a much newer kit than mine.
I'm sure that you should forget about the colours and the present name.

There appears to be a little design inconstancy between the waterline & the positioning/height of the bulbus bow

The hawser pipes feeding astern to the anchors is also unique................

My guess is a one off, home built hand laid up glass hull on a plug?  %)
