Bumper Boat
« on: July 02, 2017, 05:00:50 pm »

Just got my Bumper Boat kit home from Modelboatbits.com, please note that if you order it from https://www.lowemodels.co.uk/bumper-boats
you will get the chance to choose between 4 colour options.

I bought the kit + motor pack. So just have to add a battery (2S 2200mA LiPo) and a receiver.

It is a simple job to assemble it, my only modification is that I gave the motor a couple drops of silicon just to fix it a bit better.
I added a 5mm red flashing LED and I'll add some more LED's in different colours when I get the time to do it.

Great boat for the kids as the bumper will most likely save the day.

They seem quite expensive to me for what is a very basic hull and a pond noodle.

If Martin will excuse me have you seen this

Hi Tug Fanatic
Thank you for the link.
May be it is from your old speedway, car racing or street racing days.

It's my age!

Barbie & Ken are just far too wholesome & Action Man just looks wrong unless you can get a camouflage noodle.

The RCGroups link I gave doesn't work. Try this

I bought it for my nephew, so he has something he can bash around with without breaking it.

Is that the best excuse you can think of?    {-)   {-)   {-)

Will you add a length dimension please - either hull only or including noodle as long as you state which it is. It looks fairly large against the electronic bits.

What size motor do they include?

Hi All
The pool noodles in Australia stores made a 495mm x 400mm size.
