Hello !
I've seen a STUART boiler for sale.
The owner claims that this boiler has been bought to Stuart. That's true that it looks like a nice Stuart.
My questions:
- Is it a real Stuart ? I've never seen a Stuart return flue boiler  !
- Has Stuart ever built Return boiler?
If someone has information, please help ! I will appreciate ! :-))
Regards.

I am definitely not an expert but that does look like the Stuart SH3/SH4 Boiler that I believe may have been made by Cheddar. Have seen one before a boat at a show, they are supposed to be quick to raise steam. Have had a quick look for SH3 boilers and they do look the same as the one in you photo, hope that helps with your further research. I did also find this link which suggest a 3 inch and 4 inch version Stuart.htm all the best Dave

Hello !
Thanks a lot DBS ! That's great news ! :-))
You are right , this the one. I have to check what type it is : SH 3 or SH4.
Any idea of the price , new , when Stuart manufactured them ??
Best regards.

I agree with Dave, Stuarts for a while were dealing with cheddar plants (which I don't think they are now) which included both boilers and engines (until I bought their engine stock) They are well made boilers, and looking at the pictures that looks like a very well made D10....if thinking of buying...do not go to high a price.
I do valuations for some auction houses but cannot put a value on the plant without seeing it but I can give you a guide figure if you need it (please PM me)
Picture of one that came through my workshop, really well made. Hope this helps

Yves,

Have a look on the Stuart web site (https://www.stuartmodels.com/products/boilers---pumps ) you can get the costs of their boilers there.
