It's the 22mmid one so yes I think it goes to 8.4 max
I am new to boats so have no idea
coming from aircraft it a bit different to what I'm used too so do I need a dedicated esc just for it as I have two motors for the main props 2x55mm 4 blade props and a Hobbyking dual esc that o hope will work with the two graupner 600s I have on the way no battery yet as brushed power is all new to me

Hi Mate, have been looking at the Utility ship on youtube etc, are you printing at home or have you got a printing company?

You will need a separate ESC for the thruster. I run mine on the small 10 amp Mtronix ESC.

I think you can just use a swtich as well if the thruster only needs to run at full speed.

Mark I'm printing it at home so far got the hull done in pla it's in 5 pieces I've joined them up with a 3d printing pen and soothed out the joints with a modifi 3d tool (soldering iron with different tips)
Now working on the deck (abs sheet 3.6mm thick) and want to get the motors sorted before I move onto the structure

I would love to see a build blog of this, especially as it is from a home manufactured set of 3d prints.

would it be possible for you to post pictures of your build please, as I am sure I'm not the only one wishing to see it.

thanks.

Something like the Action P44 but you would probably be able to get an ESC cheaper than theirs. http://www.componentshop.co.uk/p44-universal-twin-switcher.html

Ah! so not just a switch but a switcher. I thought I was missing a trick somewhere. Thanks anyway.

So I am thinking about the blog suggestion where would be the best section to start it in
Technically it's a work boat but it's 3d printed so what's best still not got a clue about a name
Or colour scheme for when I get that far

You can do this quite simply with a double pole, double throw switch but agree a small electronic speed controller is the nicer way to achieve it..

I have fitted the smallest Raboesch thruster in my Revell QM2 model. The rest of the boat runs on a single 4.8v pack using Action pico gear and I though I might need a separate higher voltage for the thruster but in fact it runs just fine on 4.8v and really swings the bow.
