Never seen an RC Battleship that actually simulates firing of its weapons. This was great to watch. Complimented by a submarine crash diving and surfacing!

Looks like fellow Mayhemer Geoff Dixon's Iron Duke.
Thanks for sharing the link  :-))

You are right Nick.  That can only be Geoff's unique HMS Iron Duke.

Appreciate the info chaps. I'll add it to the video description.

I'd be really interested in filming at any other events where boats are on the water this year. Please let me know if you are aware of any.

It is good to see it working perfecly in a public setting. The Yellow LEDs work well when the barrels are facing straight at you.

Indeed, Iron Duke in all its glory - thank you very much for posting the footage. I saw you taking shots and wondered if it would ever surface.

Love the slow motion shots!

Cheers

You're welcome Geoff. Thanks for giving me a full broadside with all those cannons. Really enjoyed watching Iron Duke in action.

Always willing to come along to events when there are boats on the water to do some filming so let me know if anything is coming up.  :-))

Just as a little bit more info - the firing is simulated using fog fluid as the medium. I fire broadsides of 5 shots at a time and can get 65 to 70 broadsides before the batteries run out so 300 to 350 shots in all.

Cheers
