Hi Everyone,
Well after 4 days (including setting up) of full on activity I'm now back in soggy Norfolk.
Huge thanks to all those that took part in the pool activities. Judging by the applause everyone seemed to enjoy the displays. I get a lot of credit for putting it all together but without you guy's (and gal's) contributing it wouldn't happen ........ respect!!!!
Our humble Mayhem leader has made some a good observations above ........ here's a couple more:
1. In the kids sessions on both the Saturday and Sunday, they are really keen to have a go and don't want to stop. Some of them came back for second and third go's. However every Club I know struggles to get junior members. It's a real challenge.
2. For your interest there were only 2 models over the whole 3 days that were on 27MHz. There were still quite a few on 40MHz including a crane in the Truck arena and someone with a Tank. Co-operation with frequency control was a fuss free operation - cheers all.
Here's a bit of news for those that still yearn for the old Robbe F14 transmitter and its accessories. Futaba have made a new batch in 3 variants. Single throttle stick version (40MHz), Twin throttle stick version (40MHz) and a version with both the 40MHz module and 2.4GHz module. Howes Models (Kidlington, Oxfordshire) have them in stock and can get all the accessories and crystals. (PS .... I have no commercial involvement with Howes)
It was great to see everyone ....... the banter is infectious ........ the models are fantastic ........ Martins shirts are, er, loud ....... it's all over far too quickly.
Huge thanks to everyone
