Hello,
The foam used in my hull was tested with Resin which had no effect on the foam.
It was a very firm foam, a 6 inch cube block of it could be stood on with no damage to it.
Silicon Sealant - - - just been invented ! - - - was used to attach the foam to the hull.
The Hull frames were cut from card and placed into position.
The outer parts of the cards were used to maintain the hull shape when the filler/glass fibre was added.
Over the years the hull has had a few bangs and dents, filler and some paint solved any problems.
Quite a few American modellers have used this system and were pleased with it.
Quick and easy way of making a hull with resin/glass fibre.
John.
