I thought that the HMS Belfast, moored in the Thames was, like the Victory, still a commissioned ship of the Royal Navy, Bowwave, or am I completely wrong.just wondering as they are naming a new ship the same.
HMS Belfast is not commissioned, she is classed as a museum, so the use of Belfast is fine, she is to be known as HMS Belfast 1936 to distinguish. Think we will have four nations names, got Scotland and NI, what next :)Jim.
The builders yard must have been a bit tight with the paint as she is rusting already, think I would ask for a warranty repair to her boot line and bow. Wonder if there are other areas that need attention!
