club accounts and membership
« on: September 29, 2017, 04:07:42 am »

Im looking for a simple easy to use program for club accounts and to track membership.
At present i have membership in excel, but our accounts are still old school in a book so looking to amalgamate the 2 items....and saving a job on the committee!
Any ideas.... preferable free software is best.

It can all be done in Excel. that is how I did it while temporary Treasurer.

PM. me an email address and I will send you a copy of the spreadsheet and you can see how it works and adapt it to suit you.

Just add another column to the right, call it "Paid" or something equally imaginative and put the amount there.  Do a "Sum" at the bottom of the column, you then know your clubs income for the year.  Save the old spreadsheet and start a new one for each club year, you automatically know who has paid and what your current membership income is.  Ours is done using LibreOffice, but at this level, everything is the same.

I Just use Excel
I Have the Cash Book Page and then the summary page for the Annual Accounts to summarise the Expenses / Income using Vlookups etc.
