Don't worry, he'll most likely whip it out, put it in one of those ultrasound jewellery cleaners and do a re-install. It'll be like a new 'un when he's finished :}

Best of luck matey, we await the details in a couple of days time, knowing what anaesthetics are like it will take a few days before you are up to wanting to do anything.

Hope he's OK but then recovery from a major operation does take some time maybe he doesn't feel up to posting at the moment.

Hello everyone

This is John's son. I am posting to let you all know that my dad has unfortunately passed away on the 16th November at 11pm due to various complications after surgery. The surgery itself was a success to a point but it caused  other problems and im afraid he never really came round from the op. It has been an extremely difficult time for us all.

I am exceptionally sorry to bring this news to you, I know he massively enjoyed the banter on here and was looking forward to many things after recovery

Many thanks

Ian

My deepest condolences to you and the rest of John's family Ian. I considered him a friend on here and somebody who had the same outlook on life as myself.

I didn't know the man unfortunately. But my thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
All the more reason for us youngsters to take up the reigns for the future of this hobby......

I met John some few years ago when he bought a model from me that I was selling for another friend who had been admitted to a nursing home.
John was an astute friendly and inspirational man and I will always remember him for something he said........."if I can find a lake i'll sail it"
I hope sincerely John, that you've already found that big calm lake in the sky, and enjoy your eternal fun..........you deserve it.
RIP, and my prayers go to you and your family at this sad time of reflection.

I only knew JB through his posts on here, and when we did not hear from him I feared the worst. He will be missed, and like all of us I send my condolences to his family.

Amen, I enjoyed his banter and builds. Our hobby has lost another pillar of knowledge and humour, but we gained from the same qualities.

Rest in Peace JB. I never met you but would have liked to.

My sincerest condolences to Johns family & friends everywhere. John you made us laugh many times & thought us a lot as well about boat modelling, but most of all you thought us to laugh at ourselves & our mistakes,sad to say we have no replacement for your advice & good humor.Sleep well my friend & I hope they give you a nice shiny Jaguar to terrorize all your friends where you have gone now. You will be missed for a very long time. Mick B.
